Our policy to keep your data secure and protect your privacy.
Privacy & Data
From May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulations mean that we have adopted new data and privacy policies. As a supporter of The Engineering Club, we would like to ensure that we are contacting you in the right way.

Every year we organise around 10 free talks, professional courses, exhibitions and member events.

For all our Newsletter subscribers we hold your name and email address. In some cases we record the name of the company that you work for and your professional discipline (architect, engineer etc). We also keep a separate record of Engineering Club events that you have attended.

We are committed to only collecting and holding onto your data for one of the following reasons:

You have subscribed to receive the Newsletter of the Engineering Club

You are employed by an Engineering Club member company who would like you to receive the newsletter, event and course details.

You have told us verbally or in correspondence that you are happy to receive newsletter and event details from us.

You’ve attended or signed up to attend one of our free events and, in doing so, we have taken this as an indication that you would like to receive information about future events.

If you’re happy with the data we hold, you don’t need to do anything: we’ll continue to engage with you as we currently do.

We will continue to send you our regular Newsletter and reminders of the free talks that we organise. We won’t use your personal information for anything else, or provide it to any third party for any other purpose. We hold your data securely through a third party mailing organisation.

If you are not happy that we continue to hold this data, then you should unsubscribe. All our correspondence with you will contain the facility to unsubscribe from our mailing list.

If you want to check or update your details, or if you only want to hear about particular activities of The Engineering Club, we provide a sign-up facility to allow you to view and change your options in the email preferences.
