Stage One is a creative engineering and manufacturing company that is called upon to deliver some of the biggest opening and closing ceremonies ever seen. Perhaps best known for creating the London 2012 Olympic Cauldron the company is recognised for its pioneering work which requires a unique approach to engineering and innovation.

As Technical Director Jim Tinsley is one of the most respected experts in his field. He will explore some of the engineering challenges he has faced over the last decade in delivering extraordinary and spectacular projects. He will explain the process of turning creative vision into engineered reality and describe what it’s like to have the eyes of the world watching.
